To configure the Actiontec GT701-WG for a PPP connection with a routed subnet the Advanced Setup in the web interface must be utilized. Below are step-by-step instructions for a standard routed subnet configuration.

  1. Once the Actiontec is connected to the computer via Ethernet, open a web browser, type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar and click "Go." This should load the Actiontec Main Menu. Click the Setup / Configuration button.

  22. The Actiontec is now configured to use your subnet and route traffic from those IPs to the world. Each individual machine will need to be set up with a useable IP from the subnet, the gateway set to the IP that was specified as the LAN IP address, and the appropriate subnet mask.
